Upper Mustang Trek (uncharted land ) is a dream for many. This restricted land was opened to foreigners in 1992 and is heavily segregated from the outside world. As a result, it has retained many of its customs and lifestyles. The Buddhist culture is prevalent in this land. Since this is a restricted area, trekkers will need a special permit. The Global treks and Adventures Pvt. Ltd. will manage that for you so you can focus on the trek itself.

The amalgamation of Nepalese and Tibetan culture is dominant in the region and the forbidden walled city of Lo Manthang is one of a unique thing you will witness. Known as the Forbidden Kingdom, this uncharted land houses some of the best natural scenery in the world.

From the view of the beautiful eastern Himalayas to the rocky trails to the dry land, everything looks marvelous. Annapurna Range, Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Nilgiri mountains peaks from a distance and the beautiful monasteries, caves and alpines valleys will get you busy throughout the Upper Mustang trek.

Our journey begins from the Land of Jomsom from where we will trek to Syangboche (3475 m). Mustang is the next destination and its capital Lo Manthang which is situated at the height of 3800 m is the highest altitude of Upper Mustang trek. The desert-like backdrop is unlike anything you have ever witness and the howling winds and dry landscape will welcome you with their full might.
